INTERVIEW (Continued)
by Sandra Olson, Publisher/Editor

2. You have your own surf team of lovely girls... Tell us a little bit about them?

The first two girls on the team were Valentina and Claudia. We met them in Huntington Beach at a annual beach/surf bash. You know the OC draws the in-crowd. We weren't looking for anyone for the team at the time. We were just promoting BeachtownGirls.

Valentina and Claudia turned out to be the paradigm of what makes our company, purity and core attitude for surfing. It's their lifestyle. That's BeachtownGirls.

We then met Cambria who was sponsored by Mark Brogs Soul Performance Surfboards in Redondo Beach. Mark is a surfboard shaper. His label is Brog Surfboards. Mark suggested we sponsor her. Cambria is the essence of kindness and fun. She is a beautiful toehead blonde who could easily have a big attitude about her looks. Yet, she is just the opposite. She is super down-to-earth. Our company has been blessed by these three. Cambria then introduced us to other members of the team, Marina, Julia, Emily and Brittany. All the girls on our team bring something unique, strong personalities, smarts, a sweet spirit. We love BeachtownGirls. They are a trip. They are fun to be around.

3. How would other girls that surf become part of your team?

Right now BeachtownGirls is slowly taking on other team members. We are set on making one of the largest Girls and Womens Surf Teams in the world. How? That's our secret. When the time comes, every girl or women that surfs will be eligible to get on the team. To be eligible, potential members cannot be professional. They won't have to be in the amateur ranks of contests and surfing circuits. They just have to surf. Surfing has to be their life. A core attitude is a lifestyle of surfing with the aloha spirit of kindness and respect for fellow human beings. We will keep everyone informed as the company grows.

4. What sort of products do you offer now and do you have new products on the horizon? (This blip will come out in July-Sept. so think ahead of schedule here)

Right now, our inventory reflects an edgy-tomboyish, but feminine style. We do not want to be fashiony. We don't want to be dark and "I-am-in-the-know style", either. BeachtownGirls style is simply, girls action sportswear that fits the lifestyle of a girl/women surfer.
